What does open-ended meaning?
There is no fixed time to finish the work, and ending will be considered and experienced together through the work.

What is Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy?
‘Different schools of psychotherapy have emerged and continue to develop from Freud’s original work. In psychoanalytic psychotherapy, particular attention is paid to analysing transference and resistance issues, so that the patient is helped to find a more creative relationship between conscious and unconscious processes and to discover their own personal truths.’
(UKCP professional occupational standards 2014: 2)

What is Pathography?
I recognised the importance of developing an authentic voice denoting a sense of self during my doctoral research which brought together my interest in psychoanalytic practice with my art practice. I offer a collaborative exploration of an artist’s work which can develop a greater sense of self through therapeutic insight, I call this process Pathography. It involves the parallel journey of the artist in therapy alongside self-exploration in their own art practice.
